On our way...
to Ian's first band concert. I have no idea why he decided to smile like this! I think he was giddy with the excitement of the upcoming performance. As for the actual concert, well, what can one say about a 5th grade band?! I think Samantha summed it up best with her question about half way through "Is this ever going to be over?"

the Cheerleader
This is a photo of Samantha cheering at a LHS football game with the "real" cheerleaders. Soon after this picture she was in tears due to the heat and mosquitos. I think she lasted a total of four minutes! Oh well, at least we didn't have to sit through an entire footb

Clarinet no more...
Our clarinet player has moved on. Ian is now a percussionist. (Is that a word?) He was not enjoying the clarinet at all but didn't want to quit band (and we didn't want that either) so he moved to his original first choice. And he's loving it!!! Last night he practiced for over an hour! (My head still hurts!) We are glad he's having fun!

Myrtle Beach!!
We just got back from vacation and, as you can see, we had lots of fun! The weather was great and the kids were super!
We did have a few sad moments but they were short lived...
Most of the time was spent playing 
in the water and having a great time!
